We are seeking a Product Analyst with a background in fraud detection to join our SaaS client's Product team. Our client specialises in fraud detection technology, helping marketplaces, platforms and online communities deliver more authentic and trusted digital experiences. The company combines AI, behavioural analytics and pattern detection to continually monitor their customers' data to identify patterns of suspicious behaviour and classify multiple fraud threats.

About the Role:
As a Product Analyst, you will play an essential role in helping to fight fraud by constantly improving the product and ultimately delivering value to customers. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience within digital fraud (Ecommerce, payments, or risk-related industry) and a bachelor’s degree or above with a background in Computer Science, Business Analytic, Math, Statistics, or related fields.
The successful candidate will be experienced in fraud analysis, enjoy problem solving and love finding patterns in data. They will be comfortable working on multiple concurrent streams and being part of a small but effective team that delivers high-quality output.
Responsibilities:
Understand and monitor the trends and intelligence of fraudulent activities in our key verticals.
Create periodic trend and insight reports to communicate threats to the wider business and our customers.
Take learning from customers and research to influence the core product roadmap, working closely with product owners and data scientists.
Analyse and create reports for customers, working directly with them in some cases to understand their data and problem sets.
Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, and the engineering team to evaluate the efficiency of existing tools, processes and policies.
Test and feedback on overall product features measuring effectiveness and accuracy.
Support product owners as an additional voice of the customer with regards to fraud and pattern detection.
Lead research projects as part of product innovation streams.
Requirements:
3+ years’ experience within digital fraud (Ecommerce, payments, or risk-related industry).
Bachelor's degree or above with a background in Computer Science, Business Analytic, Math, Statistics, or related field.
Experience with translating fraud trends into rule logic and/or feature suggestions.
Strong attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies in data.
Strong data analysis and correlation skills with ability to work through complex and unfamiliar data sets able to derive the characteristics of different scenarios.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable in a matrix organisation.
Experience with SQL analytical tools.
Ability to work simultaneously on different tasks while leading multiple projects.
Desirable skills:
Familiarity with risk/fraud in online marketplaces/platforms fields is a strong plus.
Experience with graph databases such as Neo4J.
Knowledge of any second language proficiency aside from English.
Experience with AI/machine learning is a plus.
