Job Description

Are you looking for a new and exciting opportunity as a Product Owner to own and oversee a brand new product?

Location: Cannock, Staffordshire with flexible working
Hours: 40 hours per week

When you see the world as we do, you see the chance to help the world take better care of its resources, and help it become a better place for everyone. It's why we're looking for someone who sees the world in a similar way to take up an exciting Product Owner role in our Websites team.

Because of our responsibility when it comes to leading change, resourcing takes every single one of us, and this is how you can play your part. And if you're creative, innovative and enjoy a fast paced environment, this role will suit you perfectly.

It doesn't matter if you're looking to overhaul the industry, or just do a good day's work. We know that everyone here at Veolia can help us work alongside our communities, look after the environment in small and big ways, and contribute towards our inclusive culture.

What will you be doing?

As a Product Owner, you will be providing product specialist services to the Product Manager and their product line. Giving functional and technical expertise in the development and management of products, pushing the boundaries of innovation, efficiency and design thinking.

The Product Owner will own and manage delivery of features, functions and services. Immersion into stakeholder and user business areas will be required in order to bind the design and production process to the strategic and tactical deliverables of the business.

You will use data and customer-centric product techniques to test, identify and solve problems and simplify complex customer experiences.

Ensuring that you define what 'Success' looks like with the ability to ensure that this translates into outcomes that deliver value.

Influencing the product roadmap by establishing a deep understanding of our business, customers and our internal stakeholders.

Continuously improving professional capabilities, maintaining a high velocity individual programme of continuous professional development.

You will be working closely with a team of developers, designers and testers to create a great customer experience.

Prioritising and maintaining the product backlog working with developers, designers, testers and business stakeholders to create and refine high quality user stories and acceptance criteria.

You will be experienced using product management tools such as JIRA, Confluence and Smartsheets.
What are we looking for?

An accomplished and experienced product leader with a proven track record of delivering positive business outcomes.

A good understanding of agile methodologies, cross functional workings and development at different stages of the product life cycle.

Excellent stakeholder communication and management skills.

Competent when prioritising based on value and impact with the ability to clearly articulate those decisions.

A good understanding of how web applications and e-commerce platforms work.

Be genuinely excited about solving customer problems.

Our promise to you

Here at Veolia, we know that a genuinely good role works both ways.

Alongside your salary or hourly pay, you'll get 25 days of holiday plus an extensive benefits package, which includes our market-leading pension and share scheme, alongside a range of employee discounts. To help you further, we provide mental health and financial support, so you can lean on us whenever you need to.

Apply today, so we can make a difference for generations to come.
