Job Description
We are recruiting a Product Owner to join our team based in Manchester City Centre.
What will you be doing in this role?
As a Product Owner at Tunstall, you will be an integral part of the Product Management team and will support the Business Strategy to focus on key products and services into target market segments. This role will be the product / service and technical expert, responsible for the features and functionality for their products and services.
The Ideal candidate:
You will have experience of Technical Product Management in a software environment.
Key skills and experience:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Science or Marketing as well as >5 years of Product Owner / Technical Product Management experience in a software environment. An advanced technical or business-related degree (MBA) is desirable
A strong understanding of Connected Care and/or Connected Health is desirable
A strong understanding of cloud-based services and/or App development is desirable
A strong understanding of integrating hardware and platform software services is desirable
Must have a passion for product ownership and bringing new products to market
Influencing skills and ability to persuade both internally and externally (effective presentations at all levels, negotiation)
Partnering and collaboration skills: working closely with Sales, Development, Operations and Marketing, both locally and internationally to enable successful delivery of the strategy
Must possess and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a proven track record of thriving in a team environment
Ability to interact with customers at differing levels including C-Suite and industry thought leaders
Innovative/creative thinker
Ability to work across cultures – experience of multi-cultural and multi-national project teams

Development and a chance to build a rewarding career Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Establish and define product/service requirements that ensure a strong and clear value proposition, and steer development and delivery teams to deliver on this
Work on new Product Launches and End of Life, manage the product / service lifecycle
Ensure that communications such as launch documentation, Product Management and Technical Bulletins are completed, highly useful to commercial teams and customers, accurate and timely.
Assist in product / service training and “train the trainer” sessions are completed
Understand all technical aspects of their products/services
Support the territories with third line product/service escalations
Work closely with development and delivery teams to specify and scope new feature development, ensure that proposed solutions fully meet customer needs, solve customers’ problems, and provide a solid commercial offering
Work closely with regional Product Management, Marketing and Sales teams to drive revenue growth including supporting commercial team for major projects/key customers, tenders, pricing and customer visits
Ensure where product / service gaps exist against commercial requirements that they are captured, fully understood, scoped and communicated
Develop and utilise extensive customer knowledge, spending a great deal of time with the customer to truly understand them and their needs. Understands / interprets customer needs, anticipate market changes, competitor activity and trends and adapts accordingly
Collect Voice of Customer (VoC) insight to represent the customer in decision making, finding gaps and opportunities for Tunstall: disseminate and clearly communicate the customer needs to business analysts, development and cluster / service / product teams.
Ensure customer needs, problems and requirements are fully understood, captured and scoped
Ensure Tunstall are developing a suite of products and services that maximise the value to all stakeholders: Build product and service concepts, validate and build market & customer requirements
Ensure the Product Management team successfully bring innovative new products and services to market
Act as a spokesperson for Tunstall at trade shows, presentations, events and to customers In addition to the above the Product Owner will:
Become a role model for the Tunstall leaders’ behaviour
Have the ability to challenge, build credibility and work collaboratively at all levels to deliver the strategy
Operate effectively in a culturally diverse business
Identify and implement best practice from inside and outside Tunstall to deliver results
