Context: This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Finance Analyst to work alongside a high performing Digital Transformation team who are accountable for defining and managing the strategy, roadmap, and delivery.

About the role: The Project Finance Analyst will have end-to-end accountability for financial planning and provision of management information to support assurance and financial performance analysis. You will define, establish, and embed the financial governance and reporting for the programme teams, critical to ensuring success across the £10M+ programme of investment.

The Project Finance Analyst will be responsible for:

Supply reliable, timely & accurate analysis of the programme financials to Technology Leadership Team, SteerCo, Product Managers, Tech Leads and team members as required
Review financial results & support understanding of cost drivers and variances, proactively identifying opportunities to improve and manage risk
Develop the necessary tools to support a robust financial planning, forecast and reporting process
Track & support end-to-end programme finances including Statement of Work (SoW), Sourcing Approval Board request (SAB), purchase order creation, receipting of spend and analysis of actuals
Support the capital planning and forecasting process
Ensure integrity in the link between Finance reports and programme reporting
Recommend and implement modifications to improve effectiveness in programme reporting and financial management

To succeed in this role you'll be a strong and experienced financial analyst, with a great aptitude for data, superstar excel skills and experience with financial planning & forecasting, tracking and reporting. You will be persistently insistent and determined to achieve the outcome needed and be curious around process and looking to improve through simplification where possible.
