We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to work for a well respected utilities client on a 12 month FTC
Project Manager
12 Month FTC (opportunity to go perm)
Stoke – On – Trent
1 day a week on site
£57,000 + Benefits
This role is looking for an experienced Project Manager to successfully manage and deliver projects in line with the agreed governance framework, to ensure programmes/projects are delivered efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will have the accountability of people by managing direct reports, ensuring in line with the HR framework. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to make a positive impact on an organisation and likes the challenge of working on never been done projects within the business.
Responsibilities:
To manage up to 5 direct reports, ensuring all HR policies are adhered too
To ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
To develop project requirements, and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
To manage a multiple layered portfolio
To manage, develop and motivate a team of Project Managers, recruiting and training new hires as required.
To track project costs, and benefits with agreed Business Owners and Sponsors
To ensure all projects are governed by PMO, and adhered too
To develop a detailed project plan to track progress
To coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
To use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
To use Design Authority as a governance body
To measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniquesEssential Skills & Knowledge:
At least 5 years' experience of delivering projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to talk to and present to a range of audiences, sometimes acting as a translator between parties
Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills
Able to motivate others and lead change
Good influencing skills
Able to challenge constructively
Excellent planning and organisation skills
Good understanding of multiple change management methodologies
Able to use relevant software, e.g. Visio, MS Project
Good understanding of UAT, testing and development
Resilient
Comfortable with Ambiguity and closing knowledge gaps
Experience of both IT and Business change Projects
Previous Operational Management experience
