Senior Learning Content Developer / Learning Content Designer / Instructional Designer

This is a great opportunity for a Senior Digital Content Developer to join a growing organisation and make an impact in an exciting new digital transformation programme which is disrupting the sector.

So, what will this role entail?

As a Senior Digital Content Developer, you will hold the responsibility for the design and development of high-quality and engaging digital learning content to support our client's staff as they transition into new ways of working.

Led by the objectives of the fast-paced and extensive agile transformation programme, this is a dynamic role which will support & embed a range of new skills and working practices across all levels and functions of the business.

You will be designing and developing engaging instructional and blended learning solutions using a variety of authoring tools and media to support building people's capability.

This will include bespoke learning content to address a varied range of requirements including new tools, technology, process, product, cross-skilling, soft skills, behaviours, mindsets and audiences.

Our client work in a very collaborative environment. This will require you to work across teams to maintain existing learning content, formulate appropriate program evaluation methods, and assist in managing our LMS.

Are you a good fit?

As a learning content developer, you'll have a track record of developing learning solutions for enterprise/ERP systems in a digital transformation project.

You'll be able to communicate technical information across technical and non-technical audiences which include excellent written and verbal English skills for the purpose of documentation development, curriculum development and editing.

As this is a new and transformative project, having experience working on greenfield projects would be really useful. This may include working with unfinished full-story boards and understanding the full working process of generating new learning content.

Having the following would also be advantageous.

Experience of e-learning development tools, specifically Articulate 360 would be advantageous
Experience working with e-learning and blended learning programs, web-based training development, and asynchronous learning content
Experience of video production and animation using Adobe Premier and After Effects or similar packages.
Experience with graphic design packages, such as the Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop and Illustrator or similar
Experience of using Rapid Application Development approach to content development involving rapid prototyping and iterative development
Experience of working within a scaled Agile / iterative environment would be beneficial
Results-oriented and focused on pragmatically getting to outcomes – comfortable digging in and troubleshooting as needed
Understands enterprise system architecture, ERP systems how they integrate
Knowledge of SCORM, Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Possesses an advanced understanding of L&D principles & practices, learning theory and instructional design techniques to support different learning stylesBenefits

This role is fully remote with very occasional team meetings in offices based in Glasgow, Manchester or Leeds.
