We are seeking a Senior Engineer to work with the Platform Installation team to support the planning, installation and testing of cutting edge equipment in the defence space.

The Senior Engineer will be required to have the following skills and experience:

* Experience of system level and integration testing

* Experience of testing military products

* Strong Microsoft Office skills

* Willing to work away from office

The desirable skills and experience for the Senior Engineer includes:

* Degree or equivalent qualification or experience in an engineering discipline

* Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered status

* Experience of DOORS for requirements capture

The key duties for the Senior Engineer include:

* Configuration Management of the baseline for all CS Equipment

* Conduct surveys/audits to ensure all processes and equipment align with what is required

* Provide design input and specialist advice for the services, infrastructure design and specification

* Provide support as the interface between the Platform Installation team and wider project delivery teams

* Ensure all work is performing in accordance to policies

* Integration of newly installed system hardware and software products

* Test and verify systems and products built by external suppliers as well as the internal team

* Fault finding and troubleshooting of hardware defects on installed equipment

* Configuration control of any changes to equipment build status and test documentation

* Lead, mentor and support other members of the Installation team when required

* Deputise for Team Leaders when required

* Ensure developed products adhere to test plans and the original customer requirements

* Provide support to engineering teams from suppliers to identify and resolve any issues

* Provide test information captured during testing and feedback to suppliers

* Requirements capture from key stakeholders

* Decomposition of requirements to development of Integrated and System level verification requirements tests

* Update test documentation, processes and tools

* Undertake peer reviews or check/verify tasks as directed
