We have an opportunity for a Senior Infrastructure and Networking Engineer to join our ship management client. As Senior Infrastructure and Networking Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, administering, implementing, troubleshooting, and analysing global IT Infrastructure, including all on-premise and cloud base technologies and identifying improvements on an ongoing basis.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
* Hold a HND in an I.T related discipline (or equivalent): Specialize in server, networking, or computing
* Substantial demonstrable experience within an IT Network and Infrastructure role, be able to evidence a structured approach to tackling IT Infrastructure projects successfully and hold a high level of technical knowledge and expertise, which can only be gained through years of industry experience
* Advanced knowledge of all core infrastructure technologies
* Experience of Microsoft server technologies up to server 2019, of Microsoft Azure cloud platform and of Microsoft Office 365
* Strong Network and Comms Skills
* The ability to work to tight deadlines
* Customer facing skills and excellent Time Management
* A team player, with a motivated attitude
JOB DESCRIPTION
* Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all, global, IT Infrastructure across all Client Companies
* Responsible for the full project lifecycle including proposal, design, implementation, testing and roll-out
* Provide 3rd line support as required on operation issues and projects
* Prioritisation of workloads and conflicting demands
* Collaborate with SITO on group infrastructure and Projects
* Liaise with business stakeholders when required and provide regular feedback when working on a project
* Manage project costs and report these to the IT Network and Infrastructure Manager/ IT Manager for the discrete work packages assigned
* Works with minimal supervision
* Documents projects when completed for handover to support
* Act as a mentor to help develop more junior members of the team
