Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Weston-super-Mare – hybrid working
Full / Part time: Standard, no overtime
Salary: Circa £40,000-£50,000 (negotiable DOE)

Overview:

We are looking for a candidate to join our clients Technology Services team as a Senior Infrastructure engineer to help deliver and support technical infrastructure solutions to meet their client needs. Working at tender stage, through design, implementation, and service, this role touches on a broad range of technologies which would suit an infrastructure engineer looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and implementation of infrastructure for new systems
· Work closely with Software and Testing teams to deliver projects
· Support of legacy systems and infrastructure
· Promoting standardisation and automation
· Continual improvement of processes
· Input into quotations / tenders
· Input into strategic decision making
· Supporting Junior members of the team

About the project

The Technology Services team are a vital part of the success of our clients digital department, they work with both internal and external customers building and delivering infrastructure for technical systems. They provide ongoing support and maintenance within an ITIL framework to systems that have moved into service.

About you

Essential

· Linux Administration – RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu
· Virtualisation or Cloud experience, VMWare, Azure, AWS
· Automation – Ansible, Terraform, Cobbler
· Web – Apache, Nginx, web proxies, reverse proxies

Desirable

· Databases – Postgres, MongoDB, Reddis
· Build/deploy Tools – Git, Jenkins, Artifactory
· Networking – switches, routers, firewalls, multicast, troubleshooting
· Windows Administration. Server 2019/22, Windows 10
· ITIL framework
