Senior IT Engineer
£35,000 – £45,000 + Holidays + Hybrid + Progression + Pension

An amazing opportunity for an established Senior IT engineer to develop in an established and growing company, where you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of customer service is being delivered to all customers and being am escalation point for all the engineers.

The company are a privately owned business and have been established for years providing technology solutions, IT support and software to the education sector. Also, providing similar support to SME, cooperates and other individuals. They are a multi-million pound turned over business and have achieved natural growth in recent years.

In this role you will be responsible for assisting 1st/2nd/ 3rd line and provide remote support escalation for customers. This is an office-based role so you will have to be able to nurture the team as well as being able to get active with the Management team. Be able to assist in the service metrics when needed.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Senior It Engineer as well as being able to work in a team to deliver projects and provide excellent customer service. Have a good knowledge of Windows Servers and desktops including networking. Experienced in technologies such Intune, Azure, Active Directory, Office 365, and Group policy. Have virilisation experience on Hyper-V.

The person

5 + years of IT experience , 2+ years in management
Strong knowledge of Hyper – V, Windows Server 10, Azure and Active Directory
Previous experience in managing and working being the escalation point for the service desk team
Experience working in a ITIL framework
Able to work onsite 5 days a week

The role:

Overseeing service desk escalations and ensuring tickets are picked up according to SLAs and KPIs, acting as the technical escalation point for the service desk team.
Organise and structure the job training with the Senior Management members
Conduct and attend regional visits with existing customers
Improve the efficiency of the customers infrastructure and cloud systems
