Job Description

Maverick Associates are recruiting for an experienced and accomplished Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join a well-established digital change consultancy and managed services provider who solve complex technology and business challenges for a broad range of industries, sectors, and cultures. This role is a full-time permanent opportunity, and the successful Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer will be based on site in London.

Are client is looking for passionate and motivated IT Infrastructure Engineer who has extensive experience in cloud migration, network and security infrastructure transformation with tier 3 technical support.

At this role level, you will:

• Ensure services are integrated, delivered, and operated as required.

• Work with and support third parties in providing infrastructure services.

• Work with technical architects to translate architectural designs into operations.

• Be the onsite customer go-to technical authority.

• Collaborate with the programme and senior management team.

• Attend & Lead conversations within the technical workshops.

Some key aspects of the role will include:

• Microsoft Azure platforms deep knowledge/certifications

• Configuration and monitoring of Azure, O365, Network and Web services.

• Preparing and maintaining documentation in support of technical work instructions

• MS Server Experience

• MS AD Experience

• Azure AD experience

• Windows Desktop Experience

• Monitor/Management Experience

• Preparing for and managing the change processes in line with policy and process

Skills needed for this role level:

These can include computing, storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, commercial-off-the-shelf software (COTS), and open-source packages and solutions. They can also include virtual and cloud computing such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS). (Skill level: practitioner/certifications)

•Information security. You can demonstrate an understanding of information security and the types of security controls that can be used to mitigate security threats within solutions and services. (Skill level: working/certifications)

•Modern standards approach. You can competently apply modern standards approach and guide others to do so. (Skill level: practitioner/certifications)

•Ownership and initiative. You can own an issue until a new owner has been found or the problem has been mitigated or resolved. (Skill level: working/certifications)

•Problem management. You can initiate and monitor actions to investigate patterns and trends to resolve problems. You can effectively consult specialists where required. You can determine the appropriate remedy and assist with its implementation. You can determine preventative measures. (Skill level: working/certifications)

•Service focus. You can take inputs and establish coherent frameworks that work. (Skill level: working/certifications)

•Systems design. You can design systems characterised by medium levels of risk, impact, and business or technical complexity. You can select appropriate design standards, methods and tools, and ensure they are applied effectively. You can review the systems designs of others to ensure the selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources and integration of multiple systems and technology. (Skill level: practitioner/certifications)

•Systems integration. You can define the integration build. You can co-ordinate build activities across systems. You can understand how to undertake and support integration testing activities. (Skill level: practitioner)

•Technical understanding. You can show a thorough understanding of the technical concepts required for the role and can explain how these fit into the wider technical landscape. (Skill level: practitioner/certifications)

•Testing. You can review requirements and specifications and define test conditions. You can identify issues and risks associated with work. You can analyse and report test activities and results. (Skill level: working/certifications)

•Troubleshooting and problem resolution. You can break a problem down into its component parts to identify and diagnose root causes. You can troubleshoot and identify problems across different technology capabilities. (Skill level: practitioner/certifications)

•Coding and scripting (infrastructure engineer). You can show an awareness of the scripting tools and software that are available and currently in use. You can understand how the internet works. (Skill level: awareness/working)
