VetPartners is keen to welcome a person who will work within our Central Support Office, in York, and with Veterinary Practice colleagues on a variety of technical projects.
The person recruited will:
Lead different project workstreams in the infrastructure environment
Lead a Project Management Team (direct line management)
Manage a wide variety of Windows/Cloud projects and Onboarding
Act as an escalation point
Senior IT Technical Project Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of IT Technical Services, this role will:
Run IT projects, while adhering to relevant project and security standards.
Line-manage the IT Projects Team
Manage the Project Team prioritisation and workloads
Manage and coordinate of weekly and monthly reporting across all projects
Manage our 3rd party suppliers and support providers
Manage highly complex projects with strict timelines
Liaise with our colleagues on several key projects
Apply a strong technical understanding of servers, virtualisation, networks, data centres, Azure and telephony
Work in a fast-paced technical delivery environment
Work collaboratively and closely with colleagues at all levels, articulating issues and working constructively toward solutions.
Senior IT Technical Project Manager Requirements:
Technical Skills Applied:
Concepts of networks and telephony – can understand new concepts
Desirables – experience in:
Prince2 (Governance / Risks / Issues etc.)
Agile (not from a development POV)

Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 per week
