Brief Overview: Forsyth Barnes have partnered with an exciting, industry-leading payments business, who are searching for a Senior Java Developer to join their innovative team. You will be actively involved in new Greenfield technology and replacing existing systems and have the opportunity to introduce new technologies.

This is a key project within the business, building an online processing system to identify customer payments. The building and replacing of existing systems is required hence gradual migration and CI/CD will be utilised. The business deploy solutions using AWS and strong experience in Java or Scala is required.

The team are a homogenous unit with huge opportunity for progression as the business does not look to adopt a hierarchal structure but instead domain structure, whereby you have the ability to take ownership of specific domains and grow into architecture, or lead a team if you wish to do so.

To be successful you will have a determination for delivering solutions, willingness to adopt new technologies, have a self-starter forward thinking attitude, strong initiative and the ability to communicate the value of your previous project/ work.

Senior Developer Requirements:

* Strong Java or Scala experience is

* Experience with DevOps environments including CI/CD pipelining.

* AWS cloud experience

* databases such as SQL or NoSQL.

* Methodologies such as TDD and DDD

* Excellent communication skills & the ability to work as part of a team

* Authorisation to work in the UK
