Senior QA Automation Engineer

Our global client based in Manchester is currently looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to lead on test automation strategy, design, and implementation. You will have a proven track record of software testing for organisations where time to market, quality, and rapid change are critical to the company's success.

To be successful in this position you will have proven experience as a Senior QA Automation Engineer, using your strong communication skills to drive the importance of quality and testing throughout the entire software development life cycle. You will review, analyse and recommend appropriate tools for automation and non-functional testing including, performance, load, stress, and security testing.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop a reliable, scalable, and maintainable test automation framework

Effectively communicate and collaborate with the QA and Development teams to develop automation processes and plans

Develop detailed automated tests from test plans, test cases, and functional specs

Diagnose, debus and perform root-cause analysis of issues and defects

Actively participate in test planning discussions to assure automation coverage is continuously improving

Skills and experience:

In-depth experience in Test Automation Development

End to End regression testing

In-depth knowledge of test methodologies

High-level test planning

Experience supporting developers in writing better test automation

Experience mentoring and coaching other team members on software testing best practices

Hands-on experience developing and maintaining Automated Tests for Services and UI by using appropriate tools such as Cypress
