ENG Bauen is proud to introduce an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to work within a world globally recognised manufacturing organisation where you’ll play a key part in the continuous development and integration of complex projects whilst providing technical leadership in your team.

The company is a legacy client of ENG Bauen; with facilities and brands across the globe, they are renowned for their innovative engineering and application utilised by industrial and commercial customers worldwide, including Automotive, Aerospace, Construction, Robotics, and Life Sciences.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for software development projects across various business units globally.

Additionally, as a Senior Software engineer, you will provide mentoring and guidance to other Software Engineers and facilitate the understanding of best practices and coding standards within your team.

This is the ideal position for a Software engineer looking for a high degree of autonomy but wanting to be involved in challenging projects working with different departments and teams in the organisation.

The position:

* Product and Database design

* Product Development, including the implementation of design or user requirements into a functioning software artefact.

* Process Development, including designing and automating the team’s processes and project management methodologies.

* Identifying inefficiencies and proposing ways to reduce or eliminate them within the development process

* Where necessary, travel to on-site locations to understand product use and support the improvement of supported solutions.

The ideal person:

* Experienced in Object Oriented Programming using Python or Jython

* Ability to Unit Test implementation in Python/Jython

* Demonstrate advanced ability of Git version control

* Ability to lead teams whilst encouraging collective rather than individual success

* Dedication to developing others as well as the self

* Experience working in an agile development team, following software engineering best practices
