Job Description

Are you a Senior Solutions Architect looking for your next challenge?

As our new Solutions Architect you will join a rapidly growing team working on one of the largest and most comprehensive IT sites in the UK and will be the end-to-end owner of a solution from feasibility to delivery. You will be responsible for driving the architectural direction of all tasks allocated by the Programme or Principal Architect ensuring the solution has continuity from an architectural and design perspective throughout the delivery lifecycle.

What you will be doing:
Create and implement the end-to-end solution/technical design ensuring alignment to the strategic technical architecture
Ensure the solution/design process is adhered to by all SMEs
Lead technical SMEs to ensure a full collaborative approach to design is guaranteed and all areas of concern contribute to the design process from the earliest point
Ensure the solution meets architectural goals that include usability, performance, security, reliability, maintainability, reuse, supportability, and compatibility. In addition, ensuring that the design meets the client's requirements.
Provide solution and technical SME input to appropriate levels where internal skills do not exist (e.g. when new technologies are being investigated)
Ensure the project adheres to the agreed design lifecycle and that the correct design documentation is produced at each stage
What you will bring:
Good understanding and knowledge of virtualisation platforms, VMware in particular – VMware's Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and Zero clients
Previous experience of the Implementation of private and hybrid cloud technologies based on the VMware platform and automation platforms such as vRealize
IT Security Solutions (Policy Based, Physical, Environment Hardening & Software) & Provisioning and Implementation.
Security monitoring platforms – SEIM
Endpoint Management (Device Control, Data Protection, Application Control etc.)
Good understanding of Microsoft Infrastructure covering Windows Server 2012 / 2016 administration, Active Directory design, SCCM / SCOM deployment
Would be great if you had:
PRINCE 2
TOGAF 9.1 Certification
Cloud architecture certification (e.g. AWS / Azure)
Project Management experience
Software Defined Networking and Cisco ACI deployment

Location: Salisbury- Hybrid working
Security Clearance Level: SC Cleared currently – Willing & eligible to undergo the DV Clearance

Benefits: £5,400 car allowance, 25 days annual leave with the option to buy additional days, private medical, life assurance, pension, and generous flexible benefits fund which is 3% of base salary
