Our client that operates within the insurance industry is urgently seeking a highly skilled SQL DBA to join their team. They are global leaders within their industry and boasts a significantly low turnover and very flexible working practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimising their SQL Server database systems to ensure maximum performance, reliability, and availability. They should also have previous experience as a Senior DBA/ Team Lead. Potential candidates will be self-starters, organised and possess the ability to work under pressure.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a SQL Production DBA (previous experience as a team lead)
Extensive knowledge of SQL Server database administration, including backup and recovery procedures, performance tuning, and disaster recovery
Strong understanding of database security protocols, including authentication and authorization
3+ years' experience with high-availability solutions and encryption methods
Proficient knowledge of Azure Cloud StorageDesirable:

Experience using SSIS and SSRS
Experience using T-SQL
Azure Cloud Certification
