Job Description

Service Desk Analyst

Up to £28K

Byfleet

My client a successful and vibrant company are seeking a Service Desk Analyst to provide first line support for all systems across the business including local sites and remote workers.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1st line support and make sure reported issues are logged on the system under the correct category with as much info as possible

Being the first port of call you will answer calls in a professional and polite way

Resolve issues where possible, or assignment and escalation to second line staff and external support companies in a timely, effective, and professional manner

Being hands on and taking ownership of routine administration and housekeeping tasks as required within the IT Department

On site and Remote End user support for desktop applications, web-based products, mobile devices and other technologies as required

Processing of new joiners, movers, and leavers service requests

Creating documentation to assist business users and IT colleagues

Knowledge and Skills

At least two years of experience in helpdesk environment.

Understanding of Windows 10, Active Directory, Azure and Exchange environment

Experience of using MS Office products

Understanding of working on an end-user facing IT Service Desk environment

General desktop support (PC hardware, PC build, printers, scanners, etc)

Knowledge of tools such as TeamViewer and SolarWinds

Mobile device support: Android and/or iOS

General understanding of networking

Understanding of ITSM tools

Excellent verbal communications skills. Approachable, friendly, organised and goal oriented

Good written communication, able to quickly record details of problems and solutions as they arise

Can provide clear, concise written reports to second line and external support when escalating issues

Good prioritisation and time management, able to balance competing issues to ensure the right issues are addressed first
