Job Title: Service Desk Engineer – MSP
Location: Dinnington, Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Salary: £20,000 – £25,000 (DOE)
Verus Recruitment Partners has the pleasure of supporting a well-established IT managed service provider in the Sheffield area. After seeing a huge increase in demand my client is growing their support team. As a result, we are on the lookout for multiple service desk engineers
Your primary role will be to provide technical IT support and advice to customers based in the Yorkshire area and throughout the UK. You will also work closely with the other members of the support team ensuring that their customers’ needs are met.
Work as part of the support team to diagnose, resolve & escalate customer support issues.
Ensure that tickets which are escalated to field engineers are handed over properly and followed up until completion and to the satisfaction of the customer.
Make sure customers receive regular feedback and updates on their issues.
Ensure the service desk is kept up to date with progress on outstanding tickets.
Ensure internal documentation is kept up to date.

Skills that make you stand out:
Experience with Microsoft Office Products/365.
Experience with Microsoft Windows Server.
ADSL / Print Server / Router & Firewall configuration.
Hardware diagnosis & problem-solving.
An Understanding of TCP/IP and DNS protocols.
Be articulate, confident, and organised.
Possess excellent communication and listening skills.
Excellent telephone manner.
12 months experience in an IT support or service desk role.
