Service Transition Manager – IT Services – Swindon (hybrid working)

Please note: all potential candidates must be eligible for Security Clearance

Our client, a well-establish and reputable managed service provider is seeking Service Transition Manager to join them on a permanent basis. They provide a wealth of different technical services, predominately to government and defence clients. Role overview:

Reporting directly into the Head of Service Design and Transition, you'll primarily be responsible for providing support to a number of areas of the service transition process including test and validation, service transition planning, early life support and service acceptance. This role will offer genuine opportunity to have substantial input and influence into the process and maturing of the function, you'll also work with all areas of the business and become and integral part of the organisation from the outset.

Responsibilities:

-Support the Head of Service Design and Transition in maintaining the service transition function from engagement through to BAU

-Onboard new services and customers in line with project dates

-Transition services in line with the defined service gate system

-Work with wider areas of the business to identify any service improvements during the transition of new services

-Provide regular engagement with internal and external customers

-Assist with the production or reports

-Assist with ISO audits when required

Requirements:

-Ideally, you will hold your ITIL certification

-Previous experience working within the IT services/managed services industry would be beneficial

-Any knowledge of ISO 9001, 20000, 27001 will be advantageous

-Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload

-Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, coupled with the ability to break down technical terms to non-technical audiences and to build strong relationships

Offering up to £35,000 PA (potentially negotiable for the right candidate) plus numerous other benefits including a generous holiday allowance, discretionary bonuses, private health benefits and excellent training/further learning opportunities.

Working hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:30

WFH: You will be required onsite full time initially for training/inductions etc, however moving forwards the role will be circa 90% remote based.

Travel: Some travel to client sites may be required
