Job Description

Software & Support Analyst

+ 3 month initial contract

+ £50 to £60 per hour

+ Fully remote

+ Inside IR35

+ SC Cleared role

Key Skills:

Proficient in Java, WebLogic, Apache Tomcat essential

Good understanding of Oracle databases would be beneficial

Javascript, Beehive, Spring Framework, Ansible, Unix skills also advantageous

Role Summary

As a Software Developer and Support Analyst you will work collaboratively to design, develop, test, implement and provide Production support on an extensive range of different business and mission critical systems that underpin the Applications delivery.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

+ Designing, developing and implementing quality and innovative technical solutions

+ Utilise appropriate tools and methodologies to analyse, identify and resolve technical problems

+ Close engagement with other key Lines of Service associated with the program delivery

Your Key Attributes:

Strong technical background with good industry knowledge and experience

Keen to learn new technologies and expand on existing experience

Proven track record of commercial experience delivering technical solutions

Strong problem solving, analytical and logical skills

Excellent communication skills

Solid understanding of software design principles and best practises

Strong experience of working within an Agile environment

Ability to work independently as well as within a dynamic team

Can-do, will-do attitude

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

Must be eligible for SC clearance and have been resident in the UK for past 5 consecutive years

At least 3 years' experience working in a technical software delivery team.

Good level of knowledge and essential experience in programming languages and technologies as follows:

Proficient in Java, WebLogic, Apache Tomcat essential

Good understanding of Oracle databases would be beneficial

Javascript, Beehive, Spring Framework, Ansible, Unix skills also advantageous

Good working knowledge of Agile methodologies and SCRUM

Proactive and highly organised, with strong time management and planning skills.

Strong communication skills, both customer-facing and internal.

Able to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure
