Software Developer
Newark area (can be hybrid)
£25,000 – £32,000 DOE
About them:
Our client is an established and rapidly growing Software company specialising in helping businesses save time and money by effectively managing their portfolios, assets, and users with their system.
The role:
The company is looking for a Developer who will learn their system, how it currently functions, operates, and interacts with other platforms with a view to further developing the system, both in terms of adding new content and modules as well as connecting to other software and data systems to improve and increase capabilities.
This role is an exciting opportunity for someone to work on an expanding software system, with room to develop and grow alongside creating new content and seeing how this content makes a real difference to end users. The work and challenges will be engaging and varied and there is an opportunity for the right person to shape the future of the system.
As a Software Developer for the company there will be a need to write, test and develop new code, alongside communicating with other developers and programmers deploying the software systems.
Technical skills for the Software Developer
Experience and knowledge of all or some of the following is important as well as a willingness and ability to learn or develop a skillset in new coding languages:
* C#
* HTML
* JavaScript
* CSS
* DevOps
* Java
* .Net
Although not essential, a background and/or a degree in the below would be particularly advantageous:
* Computer Science
* Computer Software Engineering
* Software Programming and Development
Other skills and attributes for the Software Developer
* Knowledge and interest in computer systems and the latest technologies
* The ability to learn new technologies quickly
* An analytical mind
* The ability to communicate complex procedures to other colleagues
* Commercial and business awareness
* Good communication skills – both written and verbal
* Attention to detail and desire to probe further into data
* It is vital that the developer can work both independently as well as part of a team.
Other Information:
Hours: 8.30am – 5pm Mon-Thurs and 8.30am-4pm Fridays
Hybrid working available
25 days holiday plus bank holidays, plus an extra day off for your birthday.
