We have an excellent opportunity for an IT Developer contract role.
You must be self-employed and have expected availability for the next 6-12 months.
This is a hybrid working role with the expectation you will come to the Watford office at least once or twice a month.
* Working within the UK and Ireland IT Development team, the IT Developer is responsible for the coding, development and support of local applications.
* The IT Developer will work with the Head of IT Development and Systems Analyst to ensure applications meet the local business needs.
* The IT Developer will also be responsible for the maintenance and day to day support of the local applications, and providing ad hoc reporting needs and database administration.
* Designing, coding, and implementing Oracle APEX local applications
* Day to day support of the local applications. Bug fixes, data fixes etc
* Testing the stability and functionality of the local applications
* Code reviews of the local applications. Working with other developers
* Troubleshooting and fixing bug
* Assisting the Systems Analyst with writing technical specifications and ensuring the local applications meet Coface and regulatory standards
* Maintaining the security and integrity of the local applications
* Support and development of the local Oracle databases
* Ad hoc reporting as and when required
Skills and Experiences
* A senior level software developer with strong and successful coding and application development experience
* Advanced level (knowledge and experience) of PL/SQ programming language and methodologies
* Advanced level (knowledge and experience) of Oracle APEX
* Intermediate level (knowledge and experience) of Oracle databases
* Intermediate level (knowledge and experience) of Crystal Reports
Competencies
* Proactive and highly organised, with strong time management and planning skills
* Able to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure
* Numerate with the ability to analyse information
* Excellent communication skills
