Working with a global defence leader, we are currently recruiting for a Software Tester who will be working on a variety of tasks, predominantly cyber range and infrastructure related, for my client who are a market leader within the Aerospace and Defence field.

The successful candidate's home base will be Gloucester, but you should be prepared to work at Customer sites in the Gloucester area.

The position will be full-time (4 day working week offered!) within the existing team, delivering cutting-edge solutions for both customer and internal business enterprises.

You will be responsible for:

Working with senior engineers in discussions with customers during requirements analysis, converting operational needs into technical requirements specifications.
Applying your specific knowledge, combined with ingenuity and creativity to develop technical solutions to complex problems.
Assisting with requirements analysis.
Assisting with virtualised infrastructure design, testing and implementationYou will have:

Experience working with computer systems, networking hardware, security appliances and software.
Solid understanding and application of systems and integration engineering principles, requirements analysis and decomposition, system architecture and design.
Understanding of virtualisation concepts, especially ESXi, vSphere and associated interfaces/APIs.
Linux and/or Windows experience and comfort with Bash shell and Powershell.
Experience/familiarity with deployment tools (mainly Ansible and Terraform).
Familiarity with Atlassian tools, JIRA/Confluence/BitBucket.
Strong networking skills (TCP/IP) and possibly NSX-T.
Software development experience or familiarity particularly with Python. The package:
