About the role:
As our Spotfire and BI Developer, you will assist distribution to reach as many customers as possible to achieve our core purpose of making people healthier and enhancing and protecting their lives.
Your responsibilities as our Spotfire and BI Developer will include:
Developing MI solutions and reporting on the Spotfire platform for self-service consumption
Working with the Spotfire and BI Manager to run an efficient SDLC for Spotfire
Supporting the migration of existing reporting into Spotfire to improve efficiency
Building and maintaining strong working relationships with key distribution stakeholders with the aim of iteratively enhancing the reporting suite
Managing inbound Spotfire-related queries and fulfilling the administrator role for managing users, joiners and leavers
Building and maintaining effective working relationships with the various BI teams and the wider data community
Identifying anomalies and data issues (including root cause analysis) and developing solutions to improve overall reporting
Supporting the MI team with ad hoc data requests and queries
Providing support Head of Sales Analytics
What we’re looking for in our Spotfire and BI Developer:
Educated to degree level in relevant subject (computing/programming)
Experience in Spotfire development (or equivalent)
Advanced experience of data analysis and report building in Excel
Data visualisation experience
Intermediate knowledge of MS SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and querying using T-SQL
Intermediate understanding of relational database architecture and querying
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts
A high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work flexibly within tight deadlines with demanding stakeholders. Demonstrating effective time management skills at all times
High level of attention to detail ensuring all data is correct whilst conducting analysis
Strong communication and relationship management skills
Experience of working within a Sales orientated background as an analyst
Familiar with Python or R
Understanding of the Financial Services or a regulated environment
