I’m currently seeking a Systems Engineer / Senior Support Engineer with proven experience within a senior role to join a leading R&D organisation, based-in Oxford. The successful Infrastructure Engineer / Team Lead will predominantly work within a Microsoft Environment, with some work across Linux OS Saas-based systems. You will work on a hybrid working basis – with visits to the office 2 – 3 days per week.

The role
You will be joining an in-house team of Project workers & BAU service desk professionals and be responsible for the coordination and delivery of high-level projects relating to device management, cloud based MDM solutions, identity management & multifactor authentication. You will take ownerships of your area and the full project lifecycle, but will occasionally support more junior members on service desk related BAU escalations.

What’s Required? 

The successful Systems Engineer / Senior Support Engineer will have a broad range of experience and will be an adaptable individual who doesn’t shy away from a challenge. For this individual further technical knowledge and experience required within this role includes: 

Proven commercial experience working within a similar role in a fast-paced organisation
Experience working on fast-paced projects – Ideally with experience coordinating & leading these projects
Strong experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange & Group Policy Design as well as experience with virtualisation experience e.g. Hyper-V and a good grasp of Cloud tech
Prior experience within a team lead role or a willingness to step into this is highly desirable
