Our client is currently looking to recruit a Technical Architect on an initial 3 month contract.
  
The successful candidate will have previous Technical Architect experience implementing business information systems, servers and network infrastructure.  You will have a strong knowledge of infrastructure and solutions including data centres and network architecture,    Within the role you will research and evaluate new technologies to advise senior management on the best solutions to meet business objectives and bridge the gap between technical and non-technical.
  
Key duties

To proactively review existing Architecture/ solutions and provide recommendations to senior management for the redesign of our infrastructure.
To take an agnostic independent view to evaluate the appropriate use of technology for optimum service delivery and accessibility to staff and citizens.
To ensure that business systems meet statutory obligations (e.g. Data Protection) and best-practice standards in respect to functionality, data security, interoperability, etc.
To quality-assure designs from third-parties and other departments across the partners, ensuring they deliver relevant, business-focussed solutions which meet relevant industry standards.
To lead on feasibility studies and business cases as part of the transformation process, working to tight deadlines, in order to assess the suitability of proposed IT developments, identifying opportunities, risks, costs and benefits, making recommendations to the Senior IT and Business stakeholder groups on whether to proceed with proposals.
To lead on the creation of high-level and low-level designs, working to tight deadlines in fluid situations in order to provide a clear set of deliverables to be handed over to the delivery teams as part of project commissioning.
To interpret business and user requirements, translate these into technical functional and non-functional requirements and reflect these solutions back to the business in a business-friendly language.
Work with partner and technology stakeholders to translate business problems into technical designs. Create an optimal design through an iterative process, aligning the user need with the system requirements and organisational objectives. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established organisation on an initial 3 month contract with potential for extension.
