Job Description

Are you looking for a hands-on role in an innovative and rapidly expanding digital business? Then this opportunity is perfect for you! Our client – an innovative and fast-growing data and insights company – is expanding its technology delivery workforce and looking for an accomplished business analyst. This individual will work jointly with clients to establish analytical abilities, integrate technology, and stimulate expansion.

As part of their core business you will work closely with their Delivery Product Owner to assess the overall architecture and design process and identify areas where they can improve design visibility, feature prioritisation, application development, and IT delivery progress and reporting.

Your core responsibilities will include:

Ensuring a healthy and well-documented pipeline of work on the product backlog, including tasks, user stories, and epics, and agreeing on acceptance criteria with the development team.
Identifying any missed opportunities for data insights.
Reviewing data models, identifying any flaws, and proposing improvements.
Participating in discovery with the product team and client while owning the technical solution.
Facilitating workshops and discussions to effectively gather requirements and achieve a shared understanding of data and insight needs.
Developing implementation plans for data analysis work, estimating effort, and identifying technical implications of data insight products.
Acting as a bridge between the PO and the technical team to ensure that technical development outputs meet the business requirements.
Consulting with users and clients to solve complex system issues by thoroughly evaluating business processes, systems, and industry standards and recommending solutions.

We are looking for someone with:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to learn quickly, work iteratively, and pivot when needed.
Knowledge of basic Python and SQL and relational database management systems.
Experience with case tools like Jira and Confluence, research tools, web analytics, and data analysis.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
Previous experience with data visualisation, data platforms, and/or warehousing is preferred
