Our client a Global Solutions provider are seeking to recruit a Technical Team Lead/Technical VMWARE Data Centre On Prem Lead for a 12 month contract, You will currently hold SC Clearance as a minimum and brig the below skill set to the Data Centre party :

The project will support MoD and their other delivery partner who is focused on the VMware element of the solution to deliver an on prem capability to deploy application workloads into an existing Data centre capability provided by Microsoft. Project deliverables:

Supply both architectural and implementation/integration SMEs that will support and deliver the initial design work with MOD and subsequently build and deploy the elements agreed in the project plan that are Microsoft tasks or Work Products. Physical deliverables include

High level and Low level designs
Implementation and testing of the environment as per these designs // ROLE SCENARIO END. Essential skills
Strong delivery leader who can work across multiple streams and stakeholders to ensure end to end plan is understood and delivered
Strong planning and scheduling skills – able to document, present and maintain
Ability to report on project progress, escalate risks, issues and concerns at the appropriate time working in partnership with MS, Partner and customer
Team player who enjoys working in a fast paced, complex environment and has a can do attitude
Ability to draw out technical requirements from architect, engineers and DC operations team to ensure tasks are managed and controlled and timelines understood
Strong communicator both verbal and written
Risk, Action, Change and Issue management (RACI) and ability to drive issues and actions to resolution and prioritise as needed.
Can work effectively into a Live Operations team to work through planning and management of changes and adhere to documented processes
Experience in introducing new infrastructure into IT Data centres, knowledge of Operational and logistical requirements and able to plan and support processes and adhere to DC Ops guidelines
Understanding of logistics and data centre build out requirements at a technical level to be able to support architects and engineers to ensure things are not missed or not planned through.
Desirable skills

ITIL/SIAM experience and knowledge
DC Ops governance and operating frameworks
Experience of working in Secure environments
Project financial management
Agile tooling – ie ADO and or Jira
