Job Description
Our client is an MSP (Managed Service Provider) company, based in Bedford and have a vast number of different clients, ranging from 1-2 people setups to 100s, with a diverse range of needs and requirements. Our technicians are multi-skilled to be able to provide exceptional proactive and responsive support with an understanding of each client's unique requirements.
Description:
Already working in a Technical Support / Network Support role, you will be proficient in providing support and technical expertise relating to the set-up, connectivity, maintenance and security of networks both remotely and on-site. You will work alongside the Support team delivering exceptional customer service playing an integral role with the progression and effective resolution of all support requests, whilst ensuring accurate responses and resolutions and adhering to the company's agreed service levels. You will also be responsible for taking ownership of issues and ensuring the customers’ expectations and both set, met and exceeded.
Technical Skills Required:
You will require some of the following – if you don't have Cisco experience funding to achieve CCNA is provided:
• Cisco based data networks • Cisco switches • Cisco Meraki • Routing & Switching • Firewalls & Security • LAN & WAN • Network monitoring and performance • Understanding of networking and troubleshooting. • Detailed understanding of IP addressing, subnets, DNS and what makes up an IT network. • Diagnosing internet connection issues. • Diagnosing Wi-Fi issues. • Firewall configuration and troubleshooting. Also experience supporting: • Microsoft 365 • Desktop Operating systems • Office Applications • Microsoft Exchange Administration • Active Directory Administration • Windows Server Operating systems • Email Security Solutions – eg Mimecast, GFI, Symantec, Proofpoint
What we are looking for:
You will be experienced in technical support / network support, with at least 2 years commercial experience. Excellent knowledge of networks and firewall security. Ideally you will have previously worked in a similar environment, network management skills and monitoring tools are essential. Certifications such as MCP, CCNA, CCNP and CompTIA would also be desirable.
