Digital Operational Technology Engineer, 6 Months, Scotland, £550 p/d

Parity Group are delighted to partner with our client, a utility sector organisation, who are looking to recruit a Digital Operational Technology Engineer on an initial 6 month contract basis. You must reside in Scotland to be commutable to sites in Edinburgh or Glasgow.

You will receive a competitive daily rate of £(Apply online only) per day and the contract will see you Inside IR35.

You will work in a team building and designing operational artefacts. You will provide guidance across a broad range of technologies from legacy SCADA and PLC systems, through telementry platforms, RTU tech, communications infrastructure and modern IoT systems (Edge and Cloud)

Skills and Experience

Network and Information systems
Knowledge and demonstrable experience in designing and delivering operational technology solutions and industrial control systems used within the Utilities sector
You will have practical experience with engineering protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, BACnet, OPC, & MQTT, IoT communications technologies such as NBIoT, LoRaWAN & LTE-M and cloud platforms used for collecting, storing and managing IoT data.
Operational experience of SCADA and/or Telemetry systems used to manage OT data is essential, along with experience of designing associated service models.
Strong ability to confidently articulate design rationale.
