Our client who specialise in education is seeking a Test Analyst, to be responsible for end-to-end testing including system testing and the support of end users in user acceptance testing. The successful candidate will work closely with other members of IT Services including operational teams and project managers in test activity. The role will require a basic DBS criminal records check (Disclosure & Barring Service.

About the role

Collaborating with other Information Services staff, managers, and business stakeholders during the development phase, developing a comprehensive and detailed understanding of the relevant business processes to support planning
Assess system requirements and design documents to enable the development of test plans
To develop test plans and approaches, ensuring that test plans adhere to agreed standards and communicate these to stakeholders in a clear and non-technical way
Document and present findings of testing activity for stakeholders
Coordinate user acceptance testing, coaching, and advising the user community on approaches and processesAbout you

Business knowledge and an understanding of project management techniques
Good communications skills, both written and verbal
Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of IT systems
Knowledge of a broad range of software applications and technologies and evidence that this is kept up to date
Ability to design and execute test cases using standard testing techniques
Extensive experience in testing and documenting results of testing activity
