A Test Lead can look very different in lots of companies but if you are someone who has worked their way into a senior role, perhaps even taking key project leadership or people management responsibilities, this could be a great role for you.

Within this business – a financial services organisation who have invested heavily into a tech transformation programme – a Test Lead is someone who can role model best QA practices, help to bring the wider business together with a key eye for quality but, critically, someone who is looking to remain very much hands-on in terms of day to day testing.

You’ll be leading a small team of 3-4 QA’s plus working with an interim Test Manager to create a robust strategy. Medium-term though, you will take a lot of these responsibilities so there’s a clear progression path.

Typically, your role will involve:

* Planning and reporting of manual (and some automation) testing activities

* UAT across various workstreams

* Working with in-house development team as well as 3rd parties

* Utilising Azure DevOps

* API testing

* Being a mentor and motivational force

Your potential new employer’s HQ are based in Cheshire but they’re very much hybrid – expect to be in the office once/twice per month max.

There’s a salary on offer for this role between £50,000 – £60,000.
