Transaction Monitoring Analytics Team Manager

S3 role

Salary up to £70k with £6k car allowance & other benefits.

Milton Keynes/Hybrid

Our client a global retail bank is looking for a highly skilled Transaction Monitoring Analytics Team Manager to join client's team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Financial Crime Data Science and Analytics, as well as team lead experience and hands-on experience with Python and/or R and SQL in a Big Data environment.

Responsibilities:

Manage a small team of analytics professionals in charge of transaction monitoring and fraud detection.
Develop and implement effective strategies for detecting financial crime, including fraud, money laundering, and terrorism financing.
Analyse large datasets to identify patterns and trends that may indicate potential fraudulent activities.
Work closely with other departments and stakeholders to provide insights and recommendations on transaction monitoring practices.
Manage and prioritize the team's workload to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in transaction monitoring and fraud detection.
Experience managing a team of analysts.
Strong knowledge of Financial Crime Data Science and Analytics.
Proficient in Python and/or R and SQL in a Big Data environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
