Job Description

UX / UI Designer – Sheffield (Hybrid) – £40K

Adria Solutions has an exciting opportunity for an experienced UX/UI Designer to join a well-established company with an international presence.

Our client has a great product. Over 20 years, they have built a well-regarded, feature-rich platform that has evolved through updates and editions. Our client is now moving towards a solution paradigm of ‘anything, anywhere’, they are investing in an expanded Front-end team who can drive modern web-based front[1]end technologies to make their portfolio feel like a single product. They are looking for someone to join the business to work in the front-end team to input and guide the product aesthetics, layout, and user experience and to grow our product advocacy

The UX/UI Designer will be required to:                                                                                     

Responsible for delivering high-quality UX design from exploration and discovery right through to wireframes, user testing, and final UI design.

Designing modern, functional product user interfaces, for engaging user experiences.

Analysis of functional requirements which are translated into high-value designs.

Support scoping and development processes, and create wireframes and prototypes to aid product managers, product owners and the front-end development team. Use data led personas to support first time, infrequent users as well as experienced, advanced system users.

Building on the understanding of how our product is used in the field, incorporate this into the refined design, flow, and feedback to facilitate user tasks and expediency.

Interacting with customers and assisting in focus groups to beta-test UI/UX designs and championing the best user experience possible.

Through process and good communication, ensure consistency across the product and developer’s approaches to maximise reuse of elements, components and methodologies.

Encouraging industry standard tools and techniques to ensure future support of the product.

Defining the style strategy for our core products: tone-of-voice, the style guide for our developers, colour palettes and theme, etc

The UX/UI Designer will have the following qualifications and experience:     

You will have a strong knowledge of core UI / UX principles: Story-boarding, User-journey mapping, and when to apply the correct technique.

You should also be familiar with producing wireframes that drive software development work and understand the needs of a development team with respect to UI requirements documentation.

You will have a good eye for aesthetics and style.

Use of Adobe XD, Axure (or equivalent tooling) should be second nature.

You will have a deep understanding of optimisation for Human-Computer interaction and use the appropriate tools, technologies, and techniques to elicit UI / UX requirements, and document them in a concise an unambiguous manner.

You will have worked within a Scrum environment and have an inclusive attitude, able to work with your peers in a collaborative,
